At Melius Professional Consultants, our team is expert in helping clients implement the performance improvements that help their businesses perform at a higher level.
Our two areas of focus are in Construction Productivity Improvement and in Continuous Improvement Team Facilitation. Both areas require the use of measurement, buiding effective professional relationships and leveraging proven continuous improvement tools.
Not a typical "seagull" agency that just flies in, squawks and then flies off, Melius is most interested in seeing its clients realize the benefits of their improvement efforts. Melius supports your teams until improvement efforts yield tangible results.

How we work
01. Initial meeting
After the scope of your improvement efforts are clear, our team meets with CI team membersto define the project and a reasonable schedule to complete all associated activities.
02. Execution
Teams (internal or external) are deployed, managed and supported throughout the life of the improvement initiative or activity analysis study.
03. Client Participation
A critical aspect of continuous improvement is your participation in the improvement process. For Continuous Improvement Teams, a review should be held once a month to reinforce the process and support the teams. Melius will support the respective teams in preparing for each month's review.
For construction productivity improvement, both owners and contractors will have actions they need to support in order to realize improvement.
04. Closure
Final reports are tendered to summarize the approaches and results of each team's efforts. Multiple team efforts are combined for tracking corporate impact of all improvement initiatives.
For construction, we will show you how performance in each category compares to comparable projects in our database. This helps prioritize and energize improvement efforts.

Chris Buck
Founder & Chief Consultant
Before founding Melius, Chris had over 30 years of experience facilitating high-performance teams. Considered an expert in construction field productivity, Chris has improved clients' bottom lines around the world with his processes and approach to consulting. He's also a published presenter and served as Keynote Speaker at the 2014 Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Conference. Despite being a continuous performance improvement professional, he has also worked as a construction project manager, head of operations and head of marketing and sales over the course of his career. He has also spent time in manufacturing, continuing the team focused improvement approach that has worked so well for him in construction. Chris implemented his team-based system and was able to generate great results in a short time. Now he is excited and ready to use that approach on a fleet scale to multiply the benefits seen in the previous implementation.
